It is okay to recover.
It is okay to have a day feeling free from your mental health.
Sometimes when almost everyday is being controlled and/or directed by your mental health issues for years, it may seem wrong or weird to have a day mostly unaffected and free from it.
Sometimes when you have a low sense of identity, having a day where your mental health issues don’t harass you and eat up most of your identity, it may feel weird, uncomfortable, or like a part of you is gone.
Sometimes, when in a community for those that are mentally ill, having a period of low symptoms may make you feel like you don’t have a right to speak and don’t belong in the community.
This is a reminder that if you are having time where your mental health isn’t giving you hell - where it isn’t acting up and you are able to live (even temporarily) free from it’s effects - that is not a bad thing to reflect upon you.
You are still you. Your past experiences and struggles with it are still valid. Your diagnosis is still valid. You are allowed to be happy.
Allow yourself to recover and enjoy the positive moments.
You deserve it.
